I am the co-author, with Amanda Bennett, of "The Quiet Room - A Journey Out of the Torment of Madness" (Warner Books, 1994). The book chronicals my experiences as a psychiatric patient confined to mental hospitals over a period of nine years and my success in overcoming the destructive control of schizophrenia.

I am an active public speaker, detailing my life experiences and providing hope and counsel to the recovering mentally ill, their families, the general public, and professional health care providers, to include psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses and social workers, and mental health technicians.I have made guest appearances on "The Today Show," Larry King Live," and "Prime Time Live", as well as other numerous national and local TV and radio programs. There have also been features concerning my story in various print media throughout the U.S.A. and internationally.
